Alterations

Our decades of working exclusively with leather, suede and shearling have earned us a reputation for being the most experienced and trusted leather alteration experts in London.  We regularly alter jackets from designer brands such as Cucinelli, Brioni, Ralph Lauren and Zegna.

Our alteration and repair service includes, but is not limited to, broken zip replacement, rip repair, panel replacement, relining and sleeve shortening.  We also offer a complete resize / restyle service.  Our experienced tailors will personally consult with you to review the garment and offer the very best advice and options for repair or alteration.  Occasionally, we will decline an alteration if we do not believe the outcome will be satisfactory or economical, the only exception to this would be if a jacket has great sentimental value and the client still wants the best alteration possible.

Alteration prices vary, depending on the complexity of the garment and the change required, however as a guide to our prices, typically to shorten sleeves with zips costs £200; to fully reline a jacket costs £400; to replace a front zip wth a Swiss RiRi zip costs £250.  A 50% deposit is required to leave the alteration with us and the balance due upon completion of the alteration.

All alterations are carried out at our atelier in London’s Chiltern Street.  The wait time for alterations is typically around three weeks.  We do offer an express service for an additional 40% cost if the alteration is needed more urgently.
