In the wake of our recent collaboration with The Rake Magazine, we wanted to talk a bit more about the man of the hour, and one of our favourite leather jackets for men; the Cromford Leather Company Hoffman field jacket.
This is unashamedly a favourite piece of ours from the collection, and one of our brand classics. The original Hoffman jacket is constructed in one of the most exquisite lamb nappa’s in our armoury, with a texture that feels like running your fingertips across butter, and a rich, delicious mahogany hue. This lambskin comes from one of our favourite tanneries that we have worked with since first re-launching as The Cromford Leather Company; a small, independent, family-run establishment just outside Naples.
The classic, Safari inspired field cut combined with leather of immeasurably beautiful quality results in a jacket that emanates class. Epaulettes, buckled collar detail and top-stitched bellows pockets compliment the classic design whilst the half belted rear panel and action back subtly enhance the silhouette.
This summer we are introducing our new edition of the Hoffman. The latest Hoffman jacket features all of the same stylish details as the original, but has been re-imagined in a luxurious, silky navy lamb suede from the same Italian tannery as its leather counterpart. Handcrafted tan leather strapping at the collar; a recurrent detail in a number of our upcoming pieces, serves as the perfect accent to the luscious suede.
